Welcome to the Munro Hampton Alumini Association, DC. – a beacon of hope and opportunity, where the spirit of giving back to our beloved alma mater, Munro College and Hampton School, is at the heart of everything we do. Our journey began in 2013 when a dedicated group of Munro College and Hampton School alumni came together with a shared vision: to make a lasting impact on the institutions that shaped our formative years. Through unwavering determination and a commitment to fostering positive change, our collective efforts have allowed us to evolve into the vibrant non-profit organization we are today.
In June 2015, we took a significant step forward by achieving 501(c)(3) incorporation in the State of Maryland. This pivotal moment marked the formal establishment of the Munro Hampton Alumni Association, DC Inc., empowering us to expand our philanthropic reach and amplify our mission of providing educational funding and support to deserving students at Munro College and Hampton School, located in the picturesque St. Elizabeth parish of Jamaica, W.I.
Our mission extends far beyond mere financial contributions. We are a close-knit community of alumni, bound by our shared experiences and a passion for nurturing the potential of the next generation. With a firm belief in the transformative power of education, we strive to create opportunities that will empower students to dream big, reach their full potential, and ultimately contribute positively to their communities and the world at large.

Scholarship Fund
The Munro Hampton Alumni Association DC Scholarship
The Munro Hampton Alumni Association DC Scholarship initiative was established in 2014 with the primary objective of providing scholarships to deserving students at Munro College and Hampton School.
These scholarships are granted to students starting in Grade 8 and are renewed annually, sustaining their support through Grade 13. Our scholarships comprehensively cover tuition, meals, transportation, and other school-related expenses, ensuring that the recipients can fully focus on their education without financial burden.
Our scholarship recipients are carefully selected from a pool of Grade 7 applicants who demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance, exhibit commendable academic performance and aptitude, and actively participate in extra-curricular activities. Each scholarship holds a value of $3,000 (USD) and is disbursed incrementally at $500 per year until the student's graduation.
Every year, we have the privilege of selecting two new students from each school to join the program, which currently boasts an impressive total of 24 students. Since its inception, our scholarship initiative has awarded a grand total of $87, 500 in scholarships, benefiting 30 deserving students. In addition to financial support, we are committed to providing valuable mentorship to help these students thrive academically and personally.
Our commitment to nurturing future leaders and providing access to quality education remains unwavering, and we are proud of the positive impact we've had on the lives of these students. Through your support and continued involvement, we aim to expand our reach and create even more opportunities for the bright minds of Munro College and Hampton School. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of these remarkable individuals and empower them to achieve their full potential.
J’Quani Chung Memorial Scholarship
The J'Quani Chung Memorial Scholarship was established in 2022 to commemorate the memory and indomitable spirit of one of our scholarship recipients, who tragically lost her battle with Leukemia.
J'Quani will always be remembered as a fierce fighter, unwavering in her determination to conquer the odds. She has left an indelible mark on our lives, one that we will forever cherish. Although her time with us was brief, her influence and impact will endure for a lifetime.
